Hi all,
It's Chicago Rum's 2nd Anniversary today!
It's a great time to update you all on where we're at for CR 2.0 development and how things are tracking, but first I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your interest in Chicago Rum and your constant feedback, positive and negative, that pushes us to deliver faster and with higher quality. That feedback has led us into the most productive cycle I've ever been in, and I'm excited to share with you what we've accomplished in less than 2 weeks since our last update.
We've managed to progress from 61% in our last update to 79% complete today. In our next update in the next 2 weeks, we will detail timelines for the rollout of CR 2.0 and what the transition looks like.
Some of you eagle-eyed readers may even notice some feature comparison changes. Some were removed, some were added, but the game is not losing any content -- we'll detail what this means in a future update.
Stock Market
A brand new feature coming to Chicago Rum for the first time ever is Stock Market, allowing you to trade on 15 unique stocks. You can speculate and manipulate the market by causing public selling or buying frenzies as the algorithm reacts to trading activity, among other secret factors.
While you'll generally make money investing in stocks in Chicago Rum, you can also lose a lot of money too.
Bootlegging Stills
An existing feature with a whole bunch of new updates, you can own 5 Still operations across Chicago Rum, upgrading and managing your stills independently. You can also produce any kind of liquor once unlocked, and liquor can be collected directly to your inventory.
Some other small previews
CR 2.0 has 8 casinos in total, and 2 others which are new variants of existing and new casinos. Some of these casinos have not yet been announced, and Poker is not included in this number.
We've also thoroughly revamped every single page, even if the core functionality is unchanged, and have greatly improved the look and feel of the UI -- a good example is in the Store, which is getting a nice 3D refresh.

We'll have more to show in later updates, including unannounced content and features.
Thank you,
Mark & the staff team
