Hi all,
This is our 4th update on CR 2.0 and it's been a few months since our last blog post.
Status
We're very deep into development on the next round and our focus has been on deeper content for features, new mechanics and a significant amount of polish.
Chicago Rum's next round has a large number of new features and a large expansion of existing features with new progression and depth to enjoy. Most of this content has not been announced or shown yet.
We're also preparing a large launch event for the game as well as ongoing 'live service' events which include new content such as limited time Organized Crimes, Missions and more.
We believe we'll complete the remaining feature set, polish and balancing within the next 2 months.
We have some teasers to share and we'll be back in early June with our next update.
Organized Crimes & Establishments
Organized Crimes have been dramatically expanded at every dimension. Integrated with our events system, limited-time Organized Crimes appear that require the leader to complete pre-planning and offer larger spoils, including non-cash loot like items and liquor.
Establishments has been expanded to add new gameplay mechanics that integrate with other game features and change the game's economy.
Jewelry Heists
A new permanent OC type, Jewelry Heists, is available after you hit a high enough OC level. Jewelry Heists allow you to steal Gems instead of cash, and also feature a new mini-game allowing you to lift even more gems.
Fencing and The Docks
Two new Establishments, Fencing Dealer and The Docks exist. Fencing Dealers are player-owned and allow players to deal in illicit gemstones, selling them at The Docks for profit. Gems can be sold at The Docks by anyone, however Fencing Dealer owners get better prices especially in bulk.
Much more to come...
These previews merely scratch the surface, and there are significant surprises and secrets in store for Chicago Rum's best round ever.
Thank you,
Mark & the staff team
