About Chicago Rum

Wiki article

Welcome to Chicago Rum!

Chicago Rum is a dynamic, versatile browser game set in the United States Prohibition Era (1920 - 1933) when it was a criminal offense to manufacture, distribute, possess, and/or consume alcoholic beverages. Prohibition saw the rise of some of the most bold, cunning criminal syndicates in American History in order to capitalize on the illegal black market trade of Alcohol. Players in Chicago Rum will be able to take part in many different facets of the unrestrained criminality which defined the time so well.

Activities

Players in Chicago Rum will be able to engage in acts of unrestrained criminality both against each other and against NPCs in the form of new missions.

Players will be able to take part in:

Crimes

Players can engage in petty crimes like scavenging, shoplifting, pickpocketing NPCs or burglaries (explained below).

Burglaries

Burglaries are similar to crimes, but focus more on robbing establishments with people present. Players may also raid trucks for a chance at an additional gold reward

Grand Theft Auto

Each city will have 5 locations available for players to select and attempt to steal cars from. As you progress, you will be able to steal from higher end locations which yield more valuable cars.

Sophisticated Organized Crimes

Players may band together in game and collude to commit more large scale crimes for substantially higher rewards. There are 2 types of Organized Crime available. Bank Heists and Diamond Heists. Setting up for an Organized Crime may require more foresight and resources. Additional types of Organized Crimes may become available temporarily through events.

Bootlegging

In order to make a quick buck, players may purchase booze on the black market for the purpose of transporting it by train or car to other locations, or holding to see if its market value fluctuates over time.

Stills

Go deep into hiding and setup your own illicit distillery. Produce your own alcohol and sell it on the black market. Despite many upgrades being available, this venture is far from being risk free.

Illegal Gambling

Chicago Rum provides a number of venues both player and game owned to satiate your urge for vice. From card games to horse racing, there's something for everyone.

Gain control over public officials

Chicago Rum's new City Hall feature allows players to gain control over public officials in order to gain useful benefits such as free daily booze, free daily bullets, increased booze carrying capacity and more.

PVP Against other Crews and Players

Kill is a very important feature within Chicago Rum that lets players go to war with each other. Kill has a high resource requirement, so it must be done strategically.

Exchange of cash and other Goods through Trading**

The Marketplace (found under Store & Trading) is where players can exchange cash for gold, bullets, or witness statements sold by others in-game.

Properties

Within Chicago Rum, there are many opportunities to own and hold properties in-game. From casinos, to bullet factories, to train stations, there are many unique opportunities to own a property. When players purchase a property, they may be entitled to a portion of the revenue it generates. But beware, it cuts both ways as certain properties carry a certain level of risk which may cost the owner significant amounts of money.
