Crews
Wiki articleBand together with your team of thugs and conquer the criminal world in Chicago Rum!
Crews
Players may choose to work together cooperatively and form Crews. These are essentially game-recognized teams. Being part of a crew is a great way to earn more cash, rank up quicker, and potentially be more protected.
Joining a Crew
Players who are just starting out may decide to join a crew instead of starting one. To join a crew, navigate to the Crew page, select a crew which has open applications, and then apply. Its solely at the discretion of crew leadership if an application is approved.
Chatting with other players and forming connections could also lead to being directly allowed to apply, which can guarantee your spot on a crew.
Starting a Crew
Starting a crew is a great option for players who are more experienced in ChicagoRum, as it will allow them to lead and take initiative.
There are more requirements to start a crew than join. Players must have:
- At least $5,000,000
- At least the Rank of Enforcer
Once these requirements are satisfied, a crew name and color can be chosen and the crew created.
By default, crews can have up to 10 members at a time. But this can be upgraded to 40 buy purchasing incremental upgrades in the Crew Settings page.
Upgrades can only be purchased using crew funds and only be purchased by Ranking Officers in the Crew.
By default, the one who creates a crew is the Leader and thus will have sole and final say over all crew decisions.
Recruitment
One of the first major things to accomplish after starting a crew is recruiting other players to fill your ranks.
The Crew leader can decide to open up recruiting in the Crew Settings page. This will allow any player to openly apply for a spot on the crew.
Its wise to form connections and only allow players you trust into a crew.
Crew Leadership can view and decide on applicants in the Crew Recruitment page.
Leadership
Each crew will have 4 officer roles. These are:
- Crew Leader - Final say on all things in the crew
- Right Hand Man
- Left Hand Man
- Successor (anonymous to all except the crew leader)
In the event crew leadership is killed, they will be replaced in the order listed. Crew members who are not part of leadership will not become part of leadership in any event, unless they are placed in that role by the crew leader.
All members of crew leadership will have access to disburse funds from the crew bank and more detailed information regarding income earned from properties owned by crew members.
Crew Forums
Each crew in Chicago Rum will have their own private forum to discuss in. This forum is not visible to the public.
Crew forums are still subject to Chicago Rum's Community Guidelines
Crew leadership is also empowered to moderate and/or set their own rules for conduct on crew forums. Leadership can also revoke access to the crew forum altogether for certain players at their discretion.
Crew Banking
Every crew will have their own private bank for both bullets and cash.
All crew members can and may be expected to contribute certain amounts of cash and bullets every so often. These resources are pooled together and can be disbursed by Crew Leadership at their discretion.
The amount of cash and bullets in the crew bank can be seen by all crew members.
Normal crew members cannot request nor unilaterally withdraw any cash or bullets from the Crew bank.
Reputation System
Every week beginning on Monday at 12am game time, a new reputation competition begins in Chicago Rum.
This allows crews to compete for control of travel in their city.
Crews must compete against one another by successfully attempting Crimes, Burglaries, and Grand Theft Autos to earn reputation points.
Reputation Points are only valid in the city in which they were earned and cannot be transferred to other cities. Crews should focus primarily on one city at first to maximize their efforts. However, larger crews may decide to contest other cities as well.
The crew with the most reputation points in a given city will then earn control of travel in that city for the following week. This means that the crew will receive:
- 100% of the Revenue Generated from Train Tickets
- 60% of the Revenue generated by Gas and Maintenance fees from Driving
Member Statistics
Crew leadership have the ability to monitor certain statistics instantly from members in the Crew Headquarters page. The following information is shown:
- Player Rank
- Cash (including bank)
- Weapon
- Protection
- Bullets
- Current Health
- Backfire Setting
- Time of Last Activity
- Availability for Organized Crime
- Current Location
City Hall Intel
While intel is not automatically pooled in with the crew when it is earned by members, whenever a crew member uses a piece of intel to reveal liquor prices in a city, the prices are automatically revealed to all crew members.
Metal Recycling Plants
Under the Criminal Fronts page in Holdings, Crew leadership have the option to purchase a lease for a metal recycling plant.
This plant will provide additional bonus bullets to the crew bank whenever a crew member crushes a GTA car using their own car crusher.
Unlike Car crushing in GTA, Metal Recycling Plants cannot be purchased out right. Three Leasing Options are available:
- 12 Hour Lease
- 24 Hour Lease
- 7 Day Lease
