Players in Chicago Rum can escalate their petty crime tactics on to bigger, more grandiose offenses. Grand Theft Auto allows players to attempt car thefts in many unique areas across our five cities. Successful car thefts will allow the player to earn way more money and more XP compared to Crimes and Burglaries.

Attempting Grand Theft Autos

To begin, players should navigate to the Grand Theft Auto Page. To start out, only one GTA will be available, but more will be unlocked through progression. Click the commit button to attempt a GTA. Unlike crimes and burglaries, there is no charged ability system, players will have to wait the specified amount of time before another attempt is made.

Stolen Cars

Upon a successful attempt, players are automatically awarded with a stolen car of the tier level of the location they were in. More information about locations and tier levels can be found here. By default, these cars are stored on the street, leaving them susceptible to theft or seizure by the police. To avoid this, its highly recommended to store vehicles in a garage. Vehicles stored in garages cannot be seized by law enforcement or stolen.

Selling Stolen Vehicles

Stolen vehicles have a high wanted level, also known as heat level. All stolen cars will have 3 stars. At this high of a wanted level, it is impossible to sell the car without attracting unwanted attention. To sell a car, the player must navigate to the Garage Page, click on their desired vehicle, and then they must swap the license plates and ship the vehicle to a new city. This will reduce the chances of any problems arising.

At the time of theft, vehicles are assigned a random level of damage. Higher damage levels reduce the sell price of a vehicle, sometimes significantly. Players can also repair vehicles in their garage page, even when they're stored out on the street. This will boost the sell value. It is not a requirement to repair vehicles before sale.

Its possible to get lucky and steal a vehicle without any damage, this is known as a flawless vehicle.

Depending on the tier rating of the car and the location, cars may be sold for cash or gold. The values of each car can be found here.

Garages

Garages are the only safe place where vehicles can be stored. While stored in garages, they cannot be stolen or seized by law enforcement.

By default , players do not have access to any garage space. Upgrades can be purchased using cash or gold in the Garage Section of the store. Players may only have one garage at a time, however if an upgrade or downgrade is made, the current garage is automatically sold.

Car Crushing

Players are able to purchase crushing plants as part of the Grand Theft Auto feature, which will unlock more options when dealing with stolen cars. This will allow players to crush vehicles in exchange for bullets.

This feature works well as part of a crew, as players can work cooperatively to contribute to the crew bullet bank.

Statistics

Under the Car Info Tab in Grand Theft Auto, players can find the most detailed and up to date information about available vehicles, their locations, and even how many the player has successfully stolen.

Reputation System

Grand Theft Auto functions as part of the weekly crew reputation competition where crews compete to earn points and win control of their city's train station for the next week. Successful car thefts award reputation points.
