Crime
Wiki articleStep into the shoes of a petty lowlife thug trying to make a name for themself by committing simple petty crimes until you get noticed by the big guys.
Petty crimes are a great way to get introduced to Chicago Rum, very beginner friendly. They award a decent amount of Rank XP and cash for lower ranked players.
Committing Crimes
To begin, navigate to the Crimes Page. By default, only one crime is available for new players. The money symbol indicates the maximum reward a player can receive for a successful attempt. Attempts are made by clicking the commit button. Rank XP is also awarded for successful attempts, but crimes progression is awarded for all attempts. Some unsuccessful attempts may result in the player being thrown in Jail, where they will be unable to do any activities until their sentence is complete.
Successful attempts may also award players items which can be used to improve Organized Crime performance.
Energy System
Crimes uses a charged ability system called Energy. Each crime requires at least 5 energy to complete. Players are able to store up to 100 energy at a time. Energy recharges at a constant rate of 5 energy every 30 seconds. If the energy bar is depleted, no attempts can be made.
Progression
As previously mentioned, attempts at crime will reward Crime Progression for the type of crime attempted. This can be tracked by the Green Progress Bar in the specific crime. A major benefit to maxing out the progress bar is lowering the odds of unsuccessful attempts and being busted quite significantly.
Players also unlock new types of crimes every time their player rank increases.
Reputation
Crime is part of the weekly Reputation Competition. Players who are part of a crew earn Reputation Points for crimes in their city. The crew with the highest number of reputation points in a certain city win control of that city's train station for a week.
