Gambling and Property Ownership
Wiki articleHit up the underground gambling dens of Chicago Rum and try to hit it big with your fellow crooks. Casinos are places for players to gamble in-game cash. Some allow for multiple players to play together.
Gambling
Chicago Rum currently has 6 games for players to gamble in. They are:
- Blackjack
- Race Track (Horse Racing)
- Roulette
- Keno
- Jacks or Better
- Poker
Unless otherwise stated, these games will roughly follow those of their real world counterparts.
Players can only gamble in-game cash, not gold or real world currency. There is no option to cash out to real world currency.
Players cannot gamble at a casino they currently own.
Casino owners are able to set a max bet, meaning players who gamble at that casino cannot bet more than that amount at any one time.
Casinos are player owned institutions, the only casino which is not player owned is Poker. Every city in Chicago Rum has one of each casino available.
Players can check their Bet History by clicking the link at the bottom of each casino page. This will provide some in-depth statistics relating to bets and a leaderboard to compete against other players.
Control of Casinos
At the beginning of each round and if the current casino owner is killed, players will be able to purchase a casino outright for a substantial sum of cash in the Cities Page.
As the owner of a casino, the player must have enough cash on hand to cover all bets. There is a great potential to earn untold wealth, but at the same time, they can lose it all if someone else makes a lucky bet.
In the event a casino owner does not have the necessary cash on hand to cover a bet, they will go bankrupt, losing all of their cash and ownership of the casino will be transferred to the player who made the winning bet.
Casino owners can manage their properties, list them for sale, see detailed statistics about patrons, and set max bets by traveling to the city where their casino is located and clicking it from the side bar, then going to Property Management.
